Review by hotel critic
The brand new studio room in a separate house exceeded my expectations with its pristine condition and comfortable furnishings, including a cozy bed that overlooked a great view from the terrace. What truly stood out was the thoughtful design that seamlessly blended personality and convenience, creating a tranquil atmosphere that perfectly complemented the stunning natural surroundings. I was especially enchanted by the soothing sounds of the nearby brook while relaxing on the patio, adding a touch of serenity to my experience. The exceptional attention to detail extended beyond the room to the common areas, such as the lounge and restaurant, where the luxurious design and quality of service shone through. The sauna was a true highlight, offering a beautifully relaxing retreat after a day of activities, while the delicious main course served at the restaurant showcased the chef's mastery of local produce. The guided activities led by Ville were not only enjoyable but also tailored to my fitness and adventure level, providing a well-rounded and memorable experience. As an environmental activist, I was particularly impressed by the hotel's commitment to sustainability, evident in the use of wood throughout the newly built establishment. The focus on eco-friendly practices, combined with the exquisite surroundings and impeccable service, truly encapsulated the essence of the Nordic model of sustainability. From the impeccable cleanliness to the excellent dining options and the stunning views, Cahkal exceeded my expectations in every aspect, making it a must-visit for anyone seeking a harmonious blend of luxury, nature, and sustainable living in Finland.
